When you finally quit your dead-end job and move back to your mother's house in the ever-peaceful town of Faybourne, you think things could only get better. However, the moment you set foot in your childhood home, a harrowing nightmare long forgotten appears to haunt you once more.
A tower that crumbles in the vastness of a bleeding sky. A voice that mourns and yearns for something.
Torn away from your peaceful life and thrown into a world of danger and deceit, you are at the mercy of the Seven Sovereigns of Limbo. Navigate the Realm Between as it faces an impending cataclysm that threatens to swallow you and those you love whole.
As the consequences of a plan set in motion long ago start to unveil, will love be the key to your freedom, or the first chapter of your downfall?

Lost in Limbo is rated +17. Beware of flashing lights, disturbing imagery, mild horror, mild jumpscares, implicit and suggestive sexual scenes and discussions, sensitive topics such as toxic family relationships, anxiety, depression, depictions of alcohol / drug use, etc.
God and creator of Limbo, Father Pride watches over the peace and well-being of his realm, but the life of a god can be solitary. When he welcomes you with open arms, his kindness draws you in...and a perturbing omen makes you stay.
Unapologetically so, Lord Amon lives his life to the fullest and indulges in as many pleasures as he can. His dissarming personality could put anyone at ease, but the Golden Dragon is not as harmless as everyone wants to believe.

Her dazzling smile hides an ambition and a determination that could serve you well—if both your goals are as aligned as she swears them to be.

As the youngest Sovereign, no one expects anything from Xal, not even himself. He is seen as a good-for-nothing and a poor excuse of a god, but you two are about to prove everyone wrong. For better or worse, he's the only one who can help you, but what if Xal needs you as much as you need him?
Our first demo will feature...
- The first version of Lost in Limbo's prologue
- Customizable first name, last name and pronouns of the MC (she/her, he/him, they/them) or use a default name; River Winchester.
- Over ~42k words (around three hours of gameplay)
- Animated backgrounds!
- Partial voice acting
- Seven CGs (one per character) + mini-CGs to enhance the experience!
- Over 25 different choices (some of them timed!)
To obtain every CG, we reccommend playing the demo twice and testing different options!
THIS DEMO WILL BE AVAILABLE ON PC, MAC, LINUX AND HOPEFULLY ON ANDROID!
The android version may come later than the PC one, but we'll work hard so you mobile folks don't have to wait too long!

I'm so confused on how to open it...
I kept clicking the losttinlimbo thingy and it won't open at all, the fact there's other files for it makes me even confused.
In MAC, people were able to access the demo by opening the package contents as follows:

Our Mac Instructions file (or the window that pops up after your download) should give you other alternatives if this doesn't work, like downloading the game through the itch app. Please do let me know if this works! If not, don't hesitate to contact us!
Just finished the demo and i absolutely adored it. I knew i was gonna love this game from the moment i saw it on my tiktok. Keep up the great work! You can tell that the team really but their hearts into this game and i cant wait to continue to support you all !!! :)

Love this game, and it is beautifully made and maayybe my critiques are just something I alone felt, but the MC's personality is a little overbearing sometimes. In my personal opinion, if I were brought into a random place, taken by strangers, and forced (LITERALLY FORCED) to sit down and listen to them, I would not be so compliant with them, yet the MC sort of comes off as apathetic to their own situation, not reacting to things that honestly would infuriate me and at least illicit some sort of complaint. To point out a specific part where this happened, when Gael and Amon force the MC to sit, MC reacts in fear (perhaps bordering anger?) and yet the MC is still compliant to doing what the pride of limbo asks when he is introduced. In these instances, I would have appreciated the choice of defiance, or anger towards forced treatment rather than only being able to react in fear and compliance. Although this is what I think would help the user experience, if this specific characterization of the MC is a choice made by the authors and is meant to be this way then I am fine with looking over it. I really do appreciate this game and the themes around it, the horror, action, timed choices, and the visuals really do stand out to me and I would love to see where this game goes, do not take my criticism as hate because I truly do find this game to be incredibly interesting and fun!
OOHHH MMYYY LORD WHY IS THIS GAME SO GOOD!!? I can not even begin to explain how much fun I had playing this game! I loved everything about it down from the backgrounds all the way up to the plot! It's amazing and so well crafted! I can not wait to get the news about the full game being released, please expect to hear my compliments on that one too. I love you all have a glorious day 😁✨

Just finished the demo and wow does it look good! I love the art, the animated backgrounds are so gorgeous and captivating, the LIs and plot are really interesting, especially Gael (love of my life, the princely, gentlemanly type) and Xal (so cute), the VAs really fit there roles and I'm looking forward to the full release!
I have one nitpick/feedback/critique: would there be a feature added in the full game where players can toggle on/off quick time events?

does this work on Mac? Because I can't play it, is anyone able to help me? I've downloaded it, but it doesn't work. I also tried the package content method, and it led me to the terminal-- Am I doing something wrong?
It should absolutely work on Mac! I'd recommend downloading the Itchio app on your Mac and then download the game through the Itchio app so it can launch the game directly, or try our Steam version. If you'd rather not (completely fine!), you should be able to access and launch the game using terminal.
If that's not working, I found this command that may be helpful (as I know next to nothing to how mac's terminal works)
"Open Terminal, write the following command:
chmod u+x
(make sure there's a space after x)
then drag the "Lost in Limbo demo" file and drop it onto the Terminal window, then press Enter. The file's icon should change. Then try opening the game again."

okay so I haven’t played all of it because I been busy but tell me why when seer was like tell me your thoughts the first thing that came to my head was parv evil and crazy😂😂 then when we started to talk to him and all that I was so confused about him I was like I like him what no i don’t he soo cute then no he’s a crazy! This was such a great demo it makes me really excited for the full release. Amon has my whole heart and Gael too he's so sweet ahhh. I do hope there will be more options to make choices in the full game and select the kind of banter we want or how to respond to the characters questions etc. Other than that, I love what I've seen so far I'm so excited to support the kickstarter too! 〒▽〒

Hi all! FYI if you ae on mac, despite following instructions and even disabling FireVault an Lockown mode for a bit, this unfortunately didn't work. Downloading is fine, but the app unfortunately doesn't open, despite clicking open after the warning.
Ack, we are so sorry to hear that. I'll contact our MAC testers to see if they can do a quick run of this, but if you have time, if you could please send us an email at gamesravenstar@gmail.com with your MAC's specifications, and any screenshots of what is happening (nothing happening seems to be the problem, but just in case there's any message anywhere) we'd be super grateful. In the meantime, I'd reccommend trying the Steam version if you want to, as Steam fortunately doesn't have any problem with MAC versions of the game.
Sadly this is a frequent problem with Apple and itch.io, it seems ;_;! I'll update you all as soon as we find a solution!

This demo is literally everything! Dark fantasy mystery, a harem of hot gods, SO MUCH MELANIN, and beautiful art! What more could I ask for! I was invested from start to finish, seriously one of the best demos I have played all year!
