Today, we are here with a very important question! As physical customization of the MC is a crucial matter for some of you, we want to approach it however y'all prefer.

As this affects not only how the CGs will work, but how one of our Kickstarter stretch goals will be, we want to hear your thoughts!

Right now, we are pondering some options.

1. The MC doesn't appear whatsoever.

Plain and simple. You won't see the MC anywhere. The CGs of the love interests will only portray them.

This option opens the window of a Fully customizable MC / character creator as a Kickstarter stretch goal, meaning we will add a character creator for you to personalize your character if we meet that goal. You'll see your character as a side portrait if you choose to. Your character will not appear in CGs, but references to your character's eye color, hair color, etc., will be made. This will be, however, one of our higher (if not our highest) stretch goals, so we can't guarantee it'll be a reality.

2. The MC will have a default appearance, and they will appear on the CGs along with the LIs

River will have two default appearances (one feminine-presenting and one masculine-presenting) not related to the chosen pronouns. This will cause some CGs to include the love interests and the MC.

For this option, we will have a special Kickstarter pledge tier in which we'll include a selectable appearance designed by those who pledge on that tier. These appearances will be able to be chosen by other players and will be reflected in the CGs. This would be implemented from the very beginning of the game development.

3. A mix of both?

We can always have our default River be there and also let you create your character. As not every CG will portray the MC, you could choose to not see the CGs that do. Those who don't want to create a character can choose default River and not see them as a side portrait. This will be more work, but maybe this is the way to keep both the character creator stretch goal, and have those who like to see the MC appear in CGs enjoy their experience too.
